Tejo produces beautiful, handmade pieces made by empowered Filipino mothers from low-income communities. By wearing their pieces, you provide these mothers with livelihood and fair income. Aside from financial gain, they are also given the opportunity to provide for their families, sparking a light of hope within their community.
In the past, Tejo's livelihood partners would have difficulty looking for jobs because no one would watch their children or their homes. Tejo works towards ensuring these mothers are productive and income-earning without having to leave the house. Through their livelihood program, they hope to empower them with the opportunity to provide for their families and no longer be completely dependent on their partners or government programs.
