Saan Tayo Pupunta? could be a very practical question with practical answers but it could also be a soul-searching question with surprising answers.
The question started as an aesthetic concept that also resonated with our exploration of the paths we take toward what matters to us the most.
As a company, R2R started with the purpose of lifting Filipino artisans out of poverty. To this day, this remains to be our purpose and the manifestation of our hope for the world.
Our destination is a world where artisans can live in abundance through the work of their hands. And our path to get there is through fashion.
But as we hopped and stumbled along this path, we realized that fashion is not just the means for us to fulfill our purpose of creating livelihood for artisans. For us and our artisans, it fulfills a very human desire that can be traced back to the beginnings of fashion itself: creativity and self-expression.
The path is part of the purpose, not just a bridge towards it.
So here we are, 16 years into this journey, and we are still savoring this path of creativity and self-expression.
We are still your friendly sustainable fashion brand-next-door, but from time to time, we explore more parts of who we are – questions, boundaries, and everything in between.
Saan Tayo Pupunta? is inspired by our collective girlhood experience of playing dress up as young kids. But in true R2R fashion, we resonated with this question on an even deeper level. To us, it is also a life prompt we use as we take intentional steps towards our purpose while honoring the path towards it.
You’ll see our signature woven bags in fresh materials and lush embroideries. At the same time, our versatile clothing comes in flowy and playful silhouettes that compel you to wear them on repeat.
While this collection is an exploration of our creative expressions, we are, as always, fueled by inspiration from those who uplift and support us in this journey: you!
